After that, you will go down to Alazani valley and reach the wine village Velistsikhe, and visit the 300-year-old wine cellar Numisi. which was discovered several years ago, by a Georgian woman. An old cellar was kept from the 16th century. Nowadays, Numisi wine cellar and museum is a place that takes you back to the 16th century. Here are dozens of old things from the past centuries, which are gathered by the owner. Furthermore, they have a showroom where you can explore things from the Soviet Union. Continue the tour by visiting the unique winery of Khareba – the wine tunnel in the rock. Khareba is a unique place with perfect storage conditions for wine, 7.7 kilometers of tunnels, and galleries that maintain a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees 0C. Listen to traditional Georgian folk songs, have a walking tour in the tunnel, explore the ethnographic museum, get information on how Georgians make wine, and finish it with wine degustation. After that, you will visit Alaverdi Monastery and Matsoni House. The monastery was founded by the Assyrian monk Joseph (Yoseb, Amba) Alaverdeli in the VI century. The temple is one of the largest church buildings in Georgia. Its height including the dome is above 50 meters.
