This fact is known by 8000 years old archeological findings of grape pips inside antique clay pots. And, to add to this, it is also the land of the first human beings in Europe (Homo Georgicus).

We offer you a cultural tour of Georgia. This tour will introduce you with Georgian culture, traditions, historical monuments, cuisine and wine. This tour gives you a unique opportunity to participate in the harvest of grapes and winemaking. During this tour you will visit Kartli, Khevi (Kazbegi), Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti. You will discover Georgian ancient culture and traditions, unique cave towns and architectural monuments – UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will have an amazing opportunity to learn about different ways of winemaking and taste many local wines and dishes.

DAY 1.Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi after your flight, where we will greet and escort you to your hotel. 


DAY 2.Tbilisi sightseeing tour

Tbilisi sightseeing tour – the Old Town and the New City. We begin our tour at the compact area of Old Tbilisi. Starting at the church of Metekhi, we walk to the brick domes of sulfur baths and then on to Narikala fortress – overlooking Mtkvari river gorge. After that we visit the synagogue, and the Sioni and Anchiskhati churches, which mark the end of the Old Town. After we visit the treasury of the National Museum of Georgia, walking along Rustaveli Avenue – the main street in Tbilisi and visit the treasury of the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts. Visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the third biggest Orthodox Church in the world. Dinner in the local restaurant, tasting Georgian dishes and wine.  Spend the night in Tbilisi.


DAY 3.Tbilisi – Mtsketa – Ananuri – Stefantsminda – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit the ancient capital– Mtskheta and see its historical sites: Jvari monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th century). Both are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then we drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road. On the way we visit Ananuri – a 17th century complex. An exciting drive from Gudauri along the Terek River will take us to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. From Kazbegi, drive with 4 WD vehicles to Gergeti Trinity church located at 2170m. In good weather you can see one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – the mountain Kazbegi (5047m). We go back to Tbilisi. Dinner at a local restaurant. Spend the night in Tbilisi. 


DAY 4.Gori- Uflistsihe – Akhaltsikhe - Varzia

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit small city Gori. Today you will visit Stalin’s Home-Museum and visit Uplistsikhe cave city (1st millennium BC). Afterwards, you will visit resort Borjomi, Borjomi Park and the fortress Atskuri (9th century). In Akhaltsikhe you will visit the fortress of Rabat. Evening arrival in Varzia. Night: at the hotel in Vardzia.


DAY 5.Vardzia – Khertvisi - Akhaltsikhe - Tbilisi / Tbilisi Night

In the morning, you begin to explore cave city Vardzia (12th century), which is one of the highlights of the trip. There once were about 3,000 caves and 50,000 people lived there. You visit the church carved into the rock with amazing frescoes of the 12th century. After that you will visit Vanis Kvabebi, which was a monastery in the 7th century. You will also visit Khertvisi fortress (10th century). Evening arrival in Tbilisi. Night: at the hotel in Tbilisi.


DAY 6.David Gareji - Sighnaghi – Telavi

Today, you will explore centuries-long history of Kakheti wine culture. In the morning you will visit the cave complex David Gareji, located in the semi-desert landscape. This monastery was

founded in the 6th century by the Desert Father David. Later it grew and consisted of 19 monasteries. It was one of the main spiritual and cultural centers of Georgia. You will drive to Sighnaghi, a beautiful town founded in the 18th century that overlooks amazing Alazani Valley and spectacular Great Caucasus Mountains. Wine tasting and lunch at “Pheasants Tears” winery, one of small Georgian traditional organic wine producing companies. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the Prince Aleksandre Chavchavadze Tsinandali Museum, its amazing garden, and old wine cellar with unique collection of 16,500 bottles of different wines. Afterwards you will have a lovely experience to quality qvevri wines at a boutique winery Teleda. In the evening, you will journey to a caste-type hotel Chateau Mere and enjoy a delicious dinner and spectacular views.


DAY 7.Telavi-Tbilisi

Enjoy your visit to monasteries with the centuries-long history of winemaking such Ikalto Monastery (6th century), Alaverdi Monastery with wine cellar founded in 11th century and large vineyard library with more than 100 grape varieties that grows in Georgia, and Nekresi Monastery Complex (4-6th centuries). Afterwards, a visit to Khareba Winery or Shumi Winery, where you can to participate in harvest and wine production, have masterclass in Mtsvadi, Georgian brad and Churchkhela making, taste Kakhetian cuisine and delicious  local wines.  In the evening return to Tbilisi.


DAY 8.Tbilisi

Enjoy this free morning before we escort you to the airport.
