Day 1: Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi after your flight, where we will greet and escort you to your hotel.

Day 2: Tbilisi – Mtsketa – Ananuri – Gudauri - Stefantsminda – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit the ancient capital– Mtskheta and see its historical sites: Jvari monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th century). Both are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then we drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road. On the way we visit Ananuri – a 17th century complex. An exciting drive from Gudauri along the Terek River will take us to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. From Kazbegi, drive with 4 WD vehicles to Gergeti Trinity church located at 2170m. In good weather you can see one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – the mountain Kazbegi (5047m). We go back to Tbilisi.

Day 3: Tbilisi Sighnaghi - Bodbe - Kvareli / night in Kvareli

In the morning you go to the beautiful city of Sighnaghi – city fortress, with amazing views of the Caucasus Mountains, visit Sighnaghi Ethnographic Museum and visit the monastery complex Bodbe founded in the 4th century. Visit 300 years old wine cellar “Nunisi” and taste delicious Georgian cuisine and local wines, visit modern salon/cellar of KTW Winery. Night in Kvareli

Day 4: Telavi-Tbilisi

Enjoy your visit to  monasteries with the centuries-long history of winemaking such Ikalto Monastery (6th century), Alaverdi Monastery with wine cellar founded in 11th century, and Nekresi Monastery Complex (4-6th centuries). Afterwards, a visit to Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar that has a large vineyard library with more than 400 grape varieties that grows in Georgia. After that, return to Tbilisi. (In autumn you can participate in harvest and wine production if interested).

Day 5: Tbilisi

Enjoy this free morning before we escort you to the airport.
