In the morning we go to the cave complex Davit Gareji, located in the semi-desert landscape. This monastery was founded in the 6th century by the Desert Father David. Later it grew and consisted of 19 monasteries. It was one of the main spiritual and cultural centers of Georgia.
We will visit the fortified town Sighnaghi (17th century), Sighnaghi is a city known for its hospitality, smiling faces and plentiful selection of wines and an amazing kitchen. Wooden balconies and beautiful homes overlooking the narrow streets create an unforgettable image. Sighnaghi is called the city of love. We enjoy the magnificent views of the Caucasus Mountains. From Sataplia after 30-minute drive we will arrive at Prometheus cave, in the village Kumistavi. The cave is much bigger than previous and it has different big halls with different type of Stalactites and Stalagmites. Trail length is 1 420 meter.

In the morning, you will set off to the very East of Georgia to the lovely city of Sighnaghi. The most romantic city of Georgia is famous for its old Georgian architectural style, amazing views on Alazani valley and also the longest castle wall in Georgia. Having a stroll along narrow streets of the city you will visit the winery of “Pheasant Tears”. Here they will offer you the best traditional Georgian organic wines. After that you will go down to Alazani valley and reach the wine village Velistsikhe, visit 300 year old wine cellar Numisi. You can have lunch in Velistsikhe (our guide will advise you best places). Continue the tour visiting unique winery of Khareba – the wine tunnel in the rock. Here you can see the difference in European style wine making and traditional Georgian wine making and taste best wines produced by Khareba Winey. After that you will visit Alaverdi Monastery and Matsoni House. The monastery was founded by the Assyrian monk Joseph (Yoseb, Amba) Alaverdeli in VI century. Matsoni is a type of yogurt, pure Georgian traditional one. You will taste different kinds of that yogurt, which will make you surprise by its different and marvelous taste.
In the evening, you will come back to Tbilisi.
We will travel to the extremely different region of Georgia – Javakheti; South part of the country, close to the Armenian border. Region is absolutely divergent by climate and landscape, situated on about 2 000 Meter above the sea level, it is huge volcanic plateau crowned with Great Abuli mountain (3 301 m). Vast plains and grazing fields, with very few woods around, make significant difference from the other parts of Georgia, which causes coldest and harshest winter season climate conditions in the country. Always windy and sparsely populated, with almost no traffic on the local roads, terrain looks quite mystical and wondering, transiting visitors to somewhat magic world. Javakheti lakes are the perfect place for bird watching; these lakes are popular places for migratory birds in autumn. In some villages it’s very usual to see White Storks’ big nests on the power poles and house rooftops. During the tour you visit: The Dashbashi Canyon, which is several kilometers away from the town of Tsalka. The Dashbashi Canyon is one of the most beautiful but not famous natural landmarks in the country. The height of the canyon is 1100-1500 meters and the length is 8 km. There are lot of waterfalls of different shape and subterranean water. After that, you will visit Village Phoka along shoreline of Paravani lake, altitude 2 080m. The lake is the biggest one in the country. In the village you visit Phoka St. Nino Convent. The Monastery is named after St. Nino, who entered the country through this region, arrived in the town of Mtskheta, then Capital of Georgia, preached Gospel and converted Georgians from paganism to Christianity in 4th century.

Saghamo Lake – literally the name means Evening. Close to the lake is located village Sagamo. The lake is of tectonic origin, completely freezing in winter time. Khanchali Lake – unique lake because of its depth, which is only 0.8 m. One of the best places for birds, it is warmer than other lakes and lots of birds are nesting around here, finding food is extremely easy for them in such a shallow water. During warm seasons lots of migratory birds find here temporary feeding station.
After breakfast, our guide will meet you on reception of the hotel and we go to Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia (3000 years old). We will visit the monastery Djvari (4-6 century), Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). Svetitskhoveli is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Later we continue our wine tour and wine tasting at Chateau Mukhrani, founded in 1878 by the Prince of Mukhrani, heir of the royal family of Georgia. We will visit Ivan Mukhranbatoni’s palace, a forest – park stable and look at the vineyards and visit the ultra-modern winery.
Today we will be visiting Iago’s winery in the central region of Kartli, village Chardakhi, where you will be able to taste this vintner’s superb rare wines and have a lunch.

Tbilisi to Kazbegi Tour
After a breakfast, our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel. During Tbilisi to Kazbegi Tour we will visit the ancient capital and the religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical sites: Jvari monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th century), where it is said, Christ’s shroud is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then we visit the ancient ruins of the city and drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road. From Kazbegi drive with 4 WD vehicles through beautiful valleys and woods brings us to Gergeti Trinity church located at 2170m. and in good weather you can see for a moment one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – the mountain Kazbegi (5047m).
