The National Gallery of Armenia is the major art gallery of Armenia that holds a large collection of Russian and European art. Located in the Republic Square of Yerevan, the main draw in the museum is the impressive collection of Armenian arts that includes the works of famous Armenian artists Hakob Hovnatanian, Martiros Sarian, and Vardges Surenyants.
Established in 1921, the National Gallery of Armenia is the largest art gallery and museum in the country. The most notable painting in the museum is the work of Vardges Surenyants, which depicts scenes from Armenian fairy tales and some historical events that took place in the country. It’s very colorful and filled with delicate details that are truly impressive to look at.
