Syunic Region

Syunik marz is the most mountainous area of Armenia and thus has the most diverse climate. The centre of this marz and the biggest city is Kapan, but the most charming city of Syunik is Goris. Being a small town, which is surrounded by wooded hills and cliffs, Goris attracts a lot of tourists, who come here to admire picturesque scenery. Syunik marz is rich in places worth visiting, the most popular are Tatev Monastery and Devil’s Bridge, cave town Khdzoresk, Karahunj.
