Our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel at 14:00 and we will start our tour with visiting Primorsky Boulevard (seafront), which is a favorite resting place of the Baku residents and capital guests, stretching for a long way along the seashore. From the boulevard, you can also make a real sea-voyage by pleasure-boat along the Baku Bay. The boulevard is picturesquely planted with chestnut, plane trees, and palms. The boulevard abounds with modern cafés and restaurants, cinema theatres and fountains. From there, you will be taken by cable way to Nagorny Park, which commands a breathtaking panorama of the city. From the boulevard, you can also make a real sea-voyage by pleasure-boat along the Baku Bay. During such boat tour a guide will put up the tourists with interesting facts and legends from the Caspian Sea history. As far as the historical part of the city concerns, it is located in another part of the capital and called the “Baku Acropolis”. Its other name is Icheri Shekher (literally “Inner Town”). In fact, it is a historical and architectural reserve. The Icheri Shekher often referred as a fortress, because this island of history separated from the modern city by thick walls. Boat trips around the bay on reconditioned old hydrofoils leave the Yacht Club pier every hour. The round trip takes about 40 minutes and, while there is no commentary and nothing specific to see, it does offer some splendid views of the city and an excellent perspective on the scale of construction city-wide. If possible, sit on the outdoor deck at the rear of the craft for the best photo opportunities.
